Ginger cure

With the end of the rainy season, I have been down with a cold this week. And it’s a bit strange to be sick when it’s 32C outside, but what does the harm is the humidity and the AC inside. But here in Asia I haveĀ found a perfect cure – fresh ginger tea with lemon and honey! It absolutely does magic not only for colds, but it’s also used as a home remedy for indigestion, nausea, flu, and sore throats.
Here is how to make this simple tea. Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin slices. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the ginger. Cover it and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea. Add honey and lemon to taste.
