I know Christmas is behind us and many of you think about warmer days and different celebrations, but I’m still somehow in the winter mood. Maybe it’s because we have the first snow only now. Also only now I have time to gather all my photos and memories from the Christmas festivities. And now I have a great pleasure to show you photos of a sweet 4-year-old who was helping us bake cookies before Christmas. Isn’t she a cutie and a perfect model? I love photographing children, they are always so honest and real in their expressions.

Nordic warmth

Among all colour combinations for Christmas my favourite this year is red & white. The typical Nordic style in interior decorating is even more charming, cosy and warm in the Christmas outfit.

It’s high time to get the Christmas tree dressed up and start enjoying the last days before the Holidays. Today I’ve been baking gingerbread cookies, it’s always such a big ceremony in my mum’s house and with my son being already a little helper it’s so much fun.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Even here in the 33C heat, surrounded by palm trees it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere. You can already see Christmas trees in the living rooms, twinkle lights and red ribbons. My son’s school had already their Christmas Bazaar where you could buy Christmas cookies and fresh wreaths. I always start 1st of December with all the preparations, it’s really a magical month for me. The Advent Sundays, St Nikolaus Day (6th Dec), my birthday, Christmas days and New Year’s Eve. So much preparations but all so much fun. I love all of it, the shopping for presents, the baking and decorating ginger cookies, preparing the house to look like Harrod’s.
Enjoy the wonderful Christmas inspirations by Eva Lindh.
